Mafalda Sarraguça main research activity is focused on supramolecular chemistry, more particularly in crystal engineering to improve drugs properties such as solubility, palatability, mechanical properties. One of the other mainstreams of the investigation is developing new and improve pharmaceutical formulations for the paediatric population using the crystal engineering approach and green chemistry principles. She is proficient in several solid-state analytical methods, such as mid and near infrared spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and differential scanning calorimetry. Another filed of expertise that Mafalda Sarraguça is an expert is the use of multivariate analysis to improve industrial processes focused on the pharmaceutical industry. |
