Sabrina Spatari

Areas of Research/Expertise

My research focuses on the development of life cycle assessment (LCA) models of early stage technologies for synthesizing, known as prospective or ex-ante LCA. My research investigates the environmental and economic impacts of converting biomass as a renewable material to fuels, chemicals and polymers as alternatives to fossil energy feedstocks. I am interested in understanding the environmental benefits and costs of chemical synthesis through solvent-free mechanochemistry processes.
